The other main problem with the xbox console is referred to as the red ring of death or RROD. This is a problem with the actual console overheating because of a design flaw with the internal heatsinks. Its called the red ring of death because of the 3 red lights that are displayed on the front of the system.   1. Make sure none of the air vents are blocked or covered by any obstacles.
  2. Ensure to place the power supply unit in a well ventilated location.
  3. Don’t have it sitting in thick pile carpets or rugs, a solid surface is best.
  4. Be careful not to stack any other gaming consoles or other electricial devices on top of the power supply unit, as this will cause all the items to overheat.
